The Key to Long Range Navigation

As promised the completed painting! The final size is 12" x 30", I've been moving towards painting bigger for my gallery shows. I'm still getting used to it, so, we'll see how it goes on future paintings.

A little bird told me...

It's been a little too long between posts, so here you go. This is a prep drawing for my newest painting. I finished the painting last week, just in time for the Cannibal Flower show! I'll get a photo of the final piece up soon.

I've been having a little trouble keeping the blog up to date lately, but I promise to be better. So stay tuned, kids! There's more to come...

A Winter Walk

I did this as a color study for an idea I had for a painting, although I never actually did the painting, I still kind of like it.

I thought of it when I saw that it was snowing in my hometown in the midwest.

Hello to the New Year

As with most things I'm running a little late with posting to my blog. I usually make some kind of overly ambitious resolution around this time of year that ends up being more than I can handle.

So, this year I just want to be a little more consistent with my posting(I know I'm already starting late this month!).

My goal this year is to be more productive, I would like to get more painting done and stretch my creative muscles a bit more. So, to that end I started the year off by attending a Dr. Sketchy life drawing marathon (the images above were created there).

Now, let's see if I can get going on some painting.
