I'm currently working on a new painting for the Cannibal Flower show this weekend. This is just a little thumbnail of the idea for it. I'll have the finished painting up here soon.

Sketches from one of my numerous, current sketchbooks. I'm in a brainstorming mode right now. I have a couple of shows coming up this summer and I'm trying to make sure I give myself enough time to really develop some good ideas.

I've had this feeling for awhile that I'm ready to start pushing my boundaries, in terms of the size of my paintings, my compositions, and even my subject matter to a certain extent.

So I'm going to try to keep track of my progress here on the blog, for my own good and for anyone else interested.

New Painting for May

I know it's already June, but I finished this one in May for the Cannibal Flower show. So as it goes it is a painting for May.

The Key to Long Range Navigation

As promised the completed painting! The final size is 12" x 30", I've been moving towards painting bigger for my gallery shows. I'm still getting used to it, so, we'll see how it goes on future paintings.

A little bird told me...

It's been a little too long between posts, so here you go. This is a prep drawing for my newest painting. I finished the painting last week, just in time for the Cannibal Flower show! I'll get a photo of the final piece up soon.
